Omny Completes Stage One of ISO/IEC 42001 AI Governance Certification

Written by Omny | April 28, 2026

Oslo, Norway. 28 April, 2026 Omny, an industrial cybersecurity company focused on securing industrial companies from cyber threats, today announced the successful completion of the ISO/IEC 42001:2023 Stage 1 certification audit. This is a significant milestone toward full certification under the world’s first international standard for AI management systems, and reflecting Omny’s existing governance capabilities and its strategic investment in responsible AI.

ISO/IEC 42001 establishes a structured framework for organizations to govern, manage, and mitigate risks that can exist with artificial intelligence. In completing Stage 1, Omny has proven their foundation within the Omny Platform for the implementation of the necessary controls, governance structures, and the processes required to responsibly manage AI systems.

This milestone shows Omny’s proactive approach to AI risk management and reinforces its commitment to delivering solutions that prioritize customer data security.

“Completing Stage 1 of the ISO 42001 audit is a critical milestone for Omny and a strong validation of the work we’ve done to embed responsible AI governance into our platform,” says Raymund Hoseña, Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at Omny. “As Omny continues to grow and develop an AI-first security product, having this certification in place shows our commitment to keeping our platform safe to better empower our customers' data to be safe.”

Aligning and implementing ISO 42001 represents a major step forward in global AI governance, providing organizations with a formalized and structured approach to managing AI-related risks while also ensuring the ethical and compliant use of AI technologies. As a relatively new standard, adoption remains limited, largely due to the complexity of implementing mature AI governance frameworks and aligning cross-functional processes. By progressing toward certification, Omny positions itself among a select group of organizations taking a leadership role in operationalizing responsible AI practices.

Building on this progress, Omny will move forward to the Stage 2 certification audit, targeted for completion by early 2027. Stage 2 represents the formal evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the AI Management System (AIMS). For Omny customers, this initiative provides increased assurance that AI capabilities within the Omny Platform are governed by clearly defined controls with risk management and data responsibility in mind. This certification also means that Omny will be continuously evaluated and will therefore continue to improve and adjust to evolving standards.
