Oslo, Norway. 19 September, 2024 - Omny has found its new Chief Product Officer in tech industry veteran Greger Teigre Wedel. In this role, Wedel is tasked with building a robust product organization and unifying the company’s offerings to address industrial cybersecurity challenges. He will oversee the entirety of the product division, including product management, design, and engineering.

A seasoned leader with relevant tech expertise
Wedel joins Omny from Cognite, where he spent nearly five years leading engineering and cross-organizational projects to support the growth of the company’s industrial data platform. With experience from previous roles at Cognite, Cisco, TANDBERG, and others, Wedel has an extensive background in both commercial and development processes. His time at Cognite, a company with a growth trajectory similar to Omny’s, has provided him with valuable insights into scaling product organizations and aligning technology with market demands.
Wedel’s educational background is in computer science, business, and group psychology, a unique combination that has helped him foster cross-functional collaboration throughout his career – a key element in building products in rapidly growing organizations while keeping a keen eye on customer success.
Driving Omny’s vision

Wedel officially joined Omny on September 1, followed by a short transitional period from Cognite into his new role. He reports directly to Omny’s CEO and is a part of the company’s executive management team.
